We currently support two sub-brands: Go With Natural Gas and Go With RNG, helping the industry better understand and access these options. Our focus is on commercially available technologies and services that the industry can use today. As new emissions reduction pathways develop, we will introduce new sub-brands to support the industry's ongoing transition.
Heavy-duty transport emissions have been growing as a proportion of Canada’s total emissions, surpassing those from electricity generation and now approaching emissions associated with manufacturing. Transportation emissions now account for the largest share of total greenhouse gas emissions, primarily due to increasing GHG emissions from heavy-duty transport. Finding meaningful and cost-effective pathways to reduce these emissions will be critical for achieving long-term GHG emissions reduction objectives.
Diesel has been the go-to fuel for heavy duty transport for many years. However, efforts to reduce emissions, have put upward pressure on the driven have driven up price of diesel prices. This has resulting in higher transport costs, which often impact hit Canadians directly, as they are reflected in the prices of in the pocketbook when they purchase essential goods like groceries.
Additionally, the transport industry is also sensitive to fluctuation in fuel prices. More importantly being able to invest in emissions- reducing technologies also requires not only the industry have access to capital but and is also relief from not being squeezed by increasing input costs, such as like fuel for example.
